Goal: to reach local entreprenuer's and business owners using
persuasive copy.

Progress:

The copy is being formatted and I put a sidebar with testimonials

Hi Lawton,
You wanted some help on your side-bar, but when I looked at your page, we had to do something else first. I hope this wasn't too presumptuous of me.

A cardinal rule of design is to get your components straight before you lay them out. So, I looked at the J-Box towards the end. I tried tweaking some of the formatting. You can see the results by clicking here, and this is what was done to achieve them:
  • Evened whitespace throughout
  • Adjusted J-box height
  • Increased the cell padding
  • Removed one break in headline spacing
  • Inserted space between the words "body copy," and the word "and" in the 2nd body text line
  • Reformatted dash between words "advertisements" and "all" in second line
  • Removed the break tags after the words "headlines" and "e-mail me."
  • Reformatted the spacing on the dash between the "though- because" and added a dash
  • Changed spacing between paragraphs to match spacing with each other
  • Same sentence...removed the break after the word "gone" and inserted an extra space.
  • Added character ' preceding word "cause" in last line
  • Reformatted the paragraph tags between the words "are" and "in Tallahassee"
Once you get some of the formatting issues down, then it is time to be concerned with the overall layout.

Maybe this wasn't exactly what you were looking for, but I hope this helps...
BTW--I did all the previewing in the toughest browser to please: Firefox. IE looked slightly different.
