Default Dr Copywriter's Roundtable

To the powers that be,

I was wondering...

If it might be feasable to create in here a forum/roundtable where only freelance dr copywriters can upload their promos (prior to delivery to their clients) for review and critique by fellow dr copywriters.

Michael Fortin has something similar on his forum. But the copy that comes up for critique there is, more often that not, the first sales letter written by a first, or second time, marketer - which is a great forum to have, no doubt.

But this would be a forum where... let's say, a higher level of idea sharing and critiquing would occur.

As anyone who has been freelancing for anytime knows - freelancing can be an awfully lonely experience, almost like working in a vacuum. Of course there are freelancers who do this type of thing privately, among a close coterie of colleagues.

But for those of us that don't currently have a shoulder to lean on, this could help bring us in from the cold.

Thoughts anyone.

Thanks,
--Barry

Hi Barry,

I feel your pain Having that type of interaction between colleagues is so important. And so hard to find as a freelancer.

We're going to be setting something up along the lines you're talking about soon for members of the EasyWriters Marketing Club.

And we're also going to try and find ways to connect pros with each other so that if you do want to be a part of "close coterie of colleagues" you'll have one.

Plus, we're going to work to connect more experienced pros who want to work with junior writers with newer copywriters to benefit you both.

So in short, yes, it's not only feasible -- it's in the works.

Good to see you over here,
John

John, that's great news.
Although I don't (yet) fit the pro category, I was just thinking about an Easyrider area.
Look forward to it.

Great suggestion, Barry.

And glad to hear it's already being explored in the Easy Writer' club (man oh man, is that club golden! I love every issue I'm getting!)

Default I feel like a kid in a candy store!

John, that sounds like a terrific idea for 'easy writers' members.

And thanks to everyone in the Clayton organization. Ever since that first issue, my copy skills have just absolutely skyrocketed!

Thank you everyone!
