Goal: to reach local entreprenuer's and business owners using

All of your content is in a center aligned div. It shows up the same in IE and Firefox. Are you trying to move the whole thing to the right? You could cheat and use negative margins on the right (margin-right:-50px
or something like that. Also you might want to put a couple pixels of padding in the sidebar, the copy is touching the border. Let me know what you're trying to do and I'll do what I can to help you. |

Forrester, i'm trying to make it look kind of like the Makepeace site, having one main column for the sales letter and putting sidebars in for the comments.
But i'm not much of a coder… |

I don't understand the above link, it's not of any use, and is poorly formated to boot. As for your layout I might continue to advise uniform padding around the site so the copy is the same distance from the border at all parts. I might also suggest if you have the know how to use CSS and place the sidebar in a seperate div than the content. Then float them.
This link should help Max Design - Sample CSS Page Layouts Cheers
