Default Banner ad conversion rates?

Hey there,

I know, at the end of the day, the only stat that really matters is ROI. The other metrics are important, but ultimately you make the kill/proceed decision based on whether or not the ad or campaign was profitable.

But still, I can't help but wonder what the "standard" is for banner ad click-thru rates. I'm not talking about whether the landing page converts, just the banner ad click-thru. What is the industry norm?

Is it .002% or .2% or maybe even 2.0% (pulled those numbers from where the sun don't shine, but you get the point)

Does anyone have an idea of the numbers here?

Sean
