Swipe File - Offline Lead generating display / classified ads

Hi,

I live in the UK, so I don't get the vast range of publications available in the USA, particularly magazines etc that run lead generating adverts in display or classified form. The one that seems to be mentioned more often than most is 'Parade', a supplement with the Sunday newspapers.

Does anyone have a swipe file of effective lead gen ads??? They can be either small display or classified.

Would it be worth having this as a sticky and the mods adding their own swipe file, as has already been done with mailing pieces and direct response ads.

Hey Garrett,

I'll see what I can get together -- thought I'm not promising anything. (I've been lax in adding to the other two swipe file threads of late.)

But if anyone has any to start I'll sticky it and we can see what we can add to it.

Thanks for the reply. I'll be using Troy's info as the baseline for the lead gen ad I'm working on.

I have requested a copy of a 1/4 page ad that ran here in the UK in magazines targetted at the over 55's. It brought in 30,000 responses in less than a year. Bear in mind that the UK:USA population ratio is roughly 1:5, that *should* mean that a similar ad in the USA would bring in over 150,000 leads. Not to be sniffed at...

When I get the copy (JPEG or PDF) I'll post it here for all to see.

Troy also has a great little info product on creating lead gen ads. Comes with some proven templates you can use for yourself if I remember correctly. It's only $20 and well worth getting your hands on.
